I am new to digital painting. I usually work in watercolor. The hardest thing is knowing when to stop!

magical image. I like a lot this kind of images, they have some feeling that makes you feel better. Anyway i think there are some things you could improve:

1. For me right upper side of the imahe is too dark. If there are some light rays comming, there should be more light in there.
2. The path to the house is too blurry compared with the rest of the image, I think that with more detail it would look better.

There are also other things I like too:

1. The character ans the raven are great.
2. I also like the brushes you use for the roof.
3. I like the idea of the face in the door.

Nice image, keep on.

P.D: You never know when to stop with digital images...

Thanks for the suggestions. The light is a challenge - I suppose I was imagining that large trees were blocking out the rest of the rays. You are right, the path to the house is too blurry.

I wanted to create a feeling of peace in the viewer. I think it is easy to create a dynamic image with a violent or tragic character (especially if there is cleavage involved!) but it takes a different set of skills to draw the viewer into a peaceful image.

This painting was an attempt to develop those skills. Hopefully I will do better with more practice.
