Welcome to the Wings3D January Challenge!

The subject of this month's challenge is Wheeled Vehicles. Let your imagination go wild, or model your favorite car! Design a futuristic motorcycle, or express your passion for unicycling!

All artistic styles are allowed. Express yourself!

Rules:

You must use Wings3D for ALL of your modeling! You must start from scratch - no previous models allowed! Texturing is optional, and may be done in any software package. It will not be considered part of the review of your final submission. You may also choose to rig and pose your model in another software package.

You will also be the judges of all participants. I think a poll added to the thread for each entry would work well. If you have a suggestion that you think will work better, please PM me and I will look into it. The goal of the Challenge is to stimulate personal growth by challenging yourself. This is a great project to be able to add to your demo reel.

Start your own thread, titled "January Challenge - [username]". WIP images and updates are encouraged.

Final submission should be at least 2 still images + wireframes, which you can post on your challenge thread. The winner will receive bragging rights and a portfolio piece, along with the techniques and experience learned throughout the modeling process. This should be the goal of every entrant!

Judging starts on Feb 1st, so get to work!

Sounds cool. They say the sea cable will be repaired by the end o fthe month. Right now I have a hard time looking at graphics intensive pages. I'll come up with something.

I just wanted to add that these challenges are open to all skill levels and experience. It is a great way to learn more about wings and modeling! I always find that having a project or purpose speeds up the learning process.

cheers!

Hope to see more participants!

I think I'll have a go at this one this time.

This thread needs more "movement" and I'm getting back to wings again.

The only problem is time, but well see (and choosing the vehicle to model ;) )

Best regards.

Hey everyone here! Im new to this forum but I'm not new to Wings. I must say that I am not very good at modeling at this point but I am trying to get better. I mostly make models for games that I make. Im learning DX and C++ at the moment. I'm gonna try to get into this competition if I have time this month. I still have six exams to do this week for school.

Cheers,

garand

P.S. over at the wings forum <link> (http://p212.ezboard.com/bnendowingsmirai) I am nfsfreak.

Hi.

I'm sorry but I'll have to give up on this one.
Didn't have enough time to work on my model.

This is as far as I got.

Best regards.
