l know we can skin reference l hope anyway.l skin a head in reference on a skeleton and when l try to update the head or remove it l got a weird message like the head is parented to something l know she s skin but why she didnt update.........and l try in smooth and rigid skin.......... anyone cant help me...................

You cannot modify or edit a file as such that has been referenced in teh scene that it has been refernced in.

You can open the original file and make edits as long as you do not change the topology or hiearchy.

l know this l cant edit a reference but why the head didnt update the real one when she skin if l add blendshapes or another color my reference didnt update...........................

I think you should have added the blendshapes before making the file a reference.

than why l skin my character as reference if l cannot update him
that no sense l better to skin him by default if l must add my blendshapes on him before skin him if l try to rig him in reference is if my uv are not correct or l mus work on my blendshapes l can edit my real character and the one skin will update automaticly and its like more protection agains wierd thing could happen if l work again on the one skin by default ( skin a character not as reference)...............
