and a simple plan of the house:

I'm making a little house suitable for an RPG/adventure type game. I'm trying to flesh it out and make it more interesting, so I'd like to know what changes you can advise! Any feedback and thoughts would be good. Please bear in mind I'm making this fairly low poly (it's currently around 2500, so I have plenty of room for extra details), and also I am yet to add textures obviously.
Okay, a little information. The stuff at the back of the house is a spare saddle and handle for the tortoise. The thing on the roof is a mechanical skylight system, which obviously doesn't seem to let much light in at the moment (see the interior shot) - but I'll fix that later :) The hole in the wall is actually a drain, for water on the roof to trickle from.
I'm thinking about what stuff needs to be added to the house so that a person could live there. I'm currently planning to make the outside shed (next to the pots) into a toilet/outhouse, and I'm thinking about putting an urn in the corner by the table to catch rainwater (from the drain above the pots).
What should I do to the interior and exterior to make this more interesting?
