I made an animation with dynamics. I freezed it at frame 88. Now I want frame 88 frame 0.
I know there is a way. But the manual didn't help me. Anyone??

Greetings

You should be able to select the Dynamics menu item "Initialize Scene" and that should work.

But then it doesn't reset my timeline or am I doing something wrong?

You should be able to shift-drag the timeline marker to zero before reinitializing the scene.

Thanks. It worked. Maybe you can also answer another similair problem. I animated a peace of cloth over a couple of cubes. Now I want to freeze the deformation, get rid of the cubes. And start the animation with the deformed cloth. The problem is when I start the next animation the cloth keeps falling on the table. But it has to freeze until another object hits it.

I hope I make sense.

If you want to freeze the object so that it doesn't get affected by gravity, change its MASS to zero. Since I'm guessing that this is a softbody object with springs, you'll need to change the total mass in the springs dialog to zero.

The object will still react to collisions, it just won't be affected by gravity, and should therefore "freeze".

Thanks again. I hope to show you soon wat the result is.

No problem - and I look forward to seeing what you're working on.
