I accidently pressed Ctrl and clicked on the select and move icon a few times and now it has made duplicates of it, i have like 20 now trying to experiement how to erase em!
How do I erase icons I dont want in the menu?

You have found the secret feature, congratulations ! ;)
Try Customize/load custom ui scheme and reloading it

Or just hold down the alt-key and drag those unsightly duplicates off of the toolbar. Be careful not to drag the useful ones off, though -- this feature works on any button up there!
