CGTalk - Sound track question

Now that tracks are gone from the timeline where can we see the frequency graph of a sound file. The sound track plays the sound but you get no visual for synching with the animation.

Is this gone for the time being or am I missing something?

In the timeline, click on the grey arrow at the left side of the soundfiles name.

hi, i don't want to hack this thread,
but some music apps have ''spline controlled'' automation tracks
that control effects like panning, flanger etc.
is there a way to import these splines into c4d and use them for animation?

If the audio app can export the spline shapes to an ASCII based format then it should in theory be possible. However you may have to write a small COFFEE importer to handle it.
