View Full Version : Mourning Hunter, gravestone design help needed
MissFlesh 01-02-2007, 10:02 AM Hello all.
I'm having some trouble with a desgin of a gravestone that's not gonna have any crosses or other human religious symbols.
It's the black thing infont of the weeping ceature.
Someone said it looked like a threetrunk and other things like that..
So I'm wondering how I can make it look more like a gravestone since it's in profile?
Thank you.

Hello...
I thought i drop my opinion about this picture and the gravestone problem...
I think that you could raise earth floor in front of the gravestone (would accociate with graves ..and you could find some other things that are usually present near graves (to give hints to the viewer)...more accociations the better or you could place the tombstone into perspective and add some burial talismans (trophys from his/her life skulls of conqured enemys or similar..)
I really like the character design ...so i think the picture would win if you make her appear more important than the swords and the tomstone...at the moment the creature her sword and tombstone are almost equal.... (it would be nice to see the creatures face..i bet its cool) (i belive there is some kind of mythologycal creature of similar kind some chiemara or etc... anyways man with dogs head...)
dunno if it helps...but maybe raises some thoughts...
and again ..creature is cool..

Gravestones are usually a little wider on the bottom then the top so they'll stand up easier that gravestone looks like it'll fall as soon as she stands up.
From that angle some writting should be visible though not neccesarily legible.
