Great work as usual Hawk:buttrock:

The back ground seems week to me, and the two batmans (batmen?) dont seem to match. The one on the right is very detailed, as is the kid, but the one on the left has very little detail. Unless there is a specific plan, like trying to make a balance, in which case I am just talking out my arse and you can disregaurd it.

How do you get the details the way you do? do you use gradients, or just paint them, or what?

The other batman is from Batman of the future! Don't you look at cartoon network man ;)

Batman of the future rocks :) So does your painting :)

allthough some would call the show Batman Beyond... It's called differently at some places...

As Kal said, the Batman on the left isn't the same as the one on the right. They're infact two different people. The one on the left is the Batman from "Batman Beyond" - trained and guided by Bruce Wayne (the original Batman) who is at that point old and unable to fight crime himself.

The image is incredible. Love the details, love the composition, love the effect and mood. I just overall love it.

Sorry, I dont have cable and my town only broadcasts 4 channels.

And like I said if there is a reason for they way they look, then so bee it. not even sure why I thought I should crit hawk, I have a hard time drawing half as good as he does. still stick by the background, but have no suggestion on how to fix it. so take what you want and leave the rest.

Oh and hawk, keep up the amazing work. I have your Hawkchi as my wallpaper for inspiration:thumbsup:

I'm really pissed off that they stopped making Batman Beyond (or are they still making new ones??). It was a great show and i love the graphics for it.

i know the background is weak but i was running out of ideas and i wanted to finish it. this piece has been on my desktop for a while now.

as for the details, i basically use the airbrush with different brush sizes..plus with the help of the tablet pen and pressure.

thanks for the comments. =)

Love your work Hawk, i'm a big fan. I think your work shows great skill and this piece is no exception. However to me the composition as a whole seems lopsided. The way that the right hand side is all black and the arrangement of the two batmen seems to make the picture unbalanced IMO. But i spose that's just personal preference.

Good work:thumbsup:

I would love to have a poster of this. I like that the new batman is in the shadow of the old batman.

Though I think removing the Beyond Batman from the picture entirely would suit it very well, and then for the background, you could use what you have on the right side of the image all the way across to the left side.

Also, adding in some flying bats and some stalagtites would probably spruce up the bg as well.

All in all, very nice work.

I like this piece alot. The one thing that bothers me is the light covering the head of young bruce wayne. I think the composition would be stronger if his hair and the top of his head were more clearly displayed(A halo of light presented as a silloette around his head might help). The white light coming from the original Batmans' chest is all the major highlight that seems neccessary.

Very Badazz! Keep up the good work!
