made/rendered in maya and color and bump maps made in PS
would really like some tips & suggestions...
(more specificly how to make the texture match up where it connects)

looks like a good start for a n00b :thumbsup:
but i do have to add that its a pretty ugly pot :p
how about u use more of a taracorta/dirty red colour with a nice bumpmap :beer:

its a good try for a beginner. The textures pretty good but it looks more like a rusted pipe texture than a pot.

What type of mapping are you using?
take a snapshot of your UV mapping and place it in a semi-transparent layer in photoshop and align your textures accordingly based on the UV map. Just a quick suggestion.

if ur using cylindrical mapping, it can be fixed pretty easy. just make sure to get the UVs flat on both sides. i kno its nbot always possible, but get them as even as u can. then in PS, use the offset filter (under filters) and have it wrap, then just make the texture seamless. when u offset it, u can see all the seams and work with them better.
