Yeah!!..i've only seen bits and stills from it. Its wierd how softimage would make info about a cool looking promotional piece like that unavailable.
Was it shown at siggraph by any chance?...i wonder which artists worked on it.

The manta is not so new, but my info was they're still working on it.

Manta were a few short scenes created by Softimage to demonstrate the power of XSI. that was around version 1.5/2. They never finished it and it consists only a few seperated scenes. It's not finished and so far I know it will never be.
It was used for what it was meant for: showing what XSI is capable of.

yeah raffael3d...those short scenes are what we want to see in full ...3 second bits of each does not really show you much. :shrug:

The Manta snow scenes didn't seem anything special to me. The orange wallpapers were incredible tho.
