My company is looking for a Lead 3D Environment Artist.
Here's the ad:
Montreal based game studio seeks an experienced environment artist to lead the environment team for an ambitious and exciting project. This position requires a balance of technical and artistic skills as well as an excellent work ethic.
Required duties will include:
1. Generating environment art assets (modeling, texturing, lighting).
2. Assisting game designers with level design.
3. Working with tools development team to design usable tools.
4. Scheduling and managing other environment artists.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
1. Talent for building rich indoor and outdoor environments.
2. Experience in all areas of environment creation including modeling, texturing, lighting.
3. Extensive experience using 3DSMax.
4. Worked with 2 or more game engines. NetImmerse experience highly favored.
5. Experience in tools and process design.
6. Experience scheduling and directing artists.
7. Level design skill.
8. Shipped at least 2 game titles.
If you have not worked on a game or you have no experience in 3DSMax, do not apply for this position. Candidates who have legal work status in Canada are highly preferred.
