I've been using zbrush now for a couple of months...gone over three tutorial DVDs, and haven't ran into this issue until today. Simply put I can't edit my 3D model anymore (not 2.5D dropped to canvas). I can rotate it, move points, mask it etc. but I can't use the inflate, std, etc. tools on it. This is the second time today it's happened to me- I've tried restarting etc. and reloading the model...but only if I export it as an obj and import it back can I continue to use the inflate, std. smooth etc. tools.
The other odd thing about it is it looks like some odd material was applied to it..even though it's using the standard material. It's not masked either...
I'm sure it's something "simple" but right now I'm REALLY frustraited!!!
