View Full Version : creating a foot that get into the mud!!

hi
I want to creat a textured plane of mud that when my character walk on it get into it his foot a little ...is it possible with soft bodies and making colision? because when I make the plane & foot colide together the plane continue its growing to making some thing like a baloon .I want it stop when the foot motion stop...

You can do it that way, but an animated displacement map could work well also. Here are some tutorials that might help you.

For the soft body solution, you could try lowering the conserve of the particles on your soft body object. This will make them dissipate their energy faster, and cause them to slow down when no additional force is applied.
