Title: Place Your Bets
Name: Michael Gonzales
Country: Philippines
Software: Photoshop

One of the so many illustrations in my fantasy story for my thesis book.

An excerpt:
"Not too far in the distance within the royal training grounds Prince Amras and Knight Casimir were engaging in an intense sparing match. Both men were clad in full armor and their swords clashed so fiercely that fiery sparks leaped from between them. A good number of knights and common soldiers have gathered to witness the fight. Their excitement was reflected by the constant roar of cheers and shouts; many had even secretly placed bets on who would be the victor. "

Well, I tried to make use of less saturated colors here for the most parts. Unlike my previous works.

Rendered in Photoshop.
Hope you like it and thanks for viewing. :)
EDIT: Fixed the expression

That's a good picture!

I think you did a really great job with the dynamics - I can really feel the speed!

As for crits, it would be nice to see some more emotion on the character's face though - they look, to me, a bit too relaxed for fighting. The drama is already built up with the movement, so it would be nice to build it up some more with, for example, rage viisible on the knight's faces? Just an idea. :)

Still very nice though :)

Wow. Nice action illustration. Like the lovely blackeri has written, some more emotion on the faces would send this drawing over the top.

Thanks a lot for the comments. About the crit on the emotion, I dunno, I kinda love their bishonen (handsome guy in Japanese) like smile, yep, they are more of enjoying the duel. Bishonens usually give only a slight hint of emotion even when engage in a battle. Nonetheless, I'll try to fix it at once. Thanks again.
