I think that my furby is just about finnished, so I thought that I would post it here. The scene has 1.4 million Polygon faces, used 1.6 gb of ram to render (I only have 1gb) and took 25 min. I have wires running from the furby to the Inputs of the Mindstorm controller and the wires running to the motors as well, but I forgot to turn that level on B4 rendering. Its fully animatable with SDK on the stearing and gears. What do you think??
thanks,
Brian

let me be the 1st to say, "that is one bad ass furby".

I really like the furby model, and the lego machine just tops it all off.

I have done quite abit of 3d lego stuff my self, and i am currently working an a technic lego car (317 pages of instructions to go). Here is the car that i am modeling.

Did you model all the lego bits yourself, or did you import them from a lego building program such as leocad?

Great work, now we just need to see an animation!!!!

i think this picture could use a little more dramatization.

i think itz great btw, i just thought the model was meant for

better things...

anyways, i guess you can set the depth of field flying and

set the camera at a base angle looking up to give it a more

intimidating look.

i have no idea what the term is called, but i guess you can

uh... make the shadows falloff instead of monotonous?

yeah, those are my suggestions basically. you can really

make this something great... more than it already is that is. :D

great work!

I like it!

As for the mandatory critiques and sugestions, here ya go:

-I don't know if that machine is supposed to work, but from my experience with lego technic (don't ask....), I can say that machine of yours won't :p

-Like the other two almost sugested, try to make it look evil. That would be a blast

This kicks ass.. The lego looks almost real. Fresh out of the box.

Thanks for the replies and all of the C&C!! I will try to make it look more evil as you have suggested. I think putting the "plow" back on it will help out. I will try to work on it tomorrow. Thanks alot guys!!

forgot something...

try not to make it too evil as to lose itz originality.

you can try adding missile launchers, but don't overdo the

overall design of the furby.

make it obvious it is still a furby.

i was going to tell you to make it a bit more evil, but then

decided it was a bad idea after a bit of consideration.

it would look completely like an evil machine instead of the

fabulous creation it is now.

try to keep it within the context of a lego furby!

that's all, thanks :D.

/me warped here from your WIP thread ;)

hehe Nice, and the lego is a nice inclusion, but it makes the firby look really tiny (as furby's are much larger than lego in real life)... but I'm a bit behind on toys atm; do they just make really huge lego / small firby's nowadays? ;)

*edit: opps! just released it was meant to be "Monster Lego" ;)

NYRngrs24: WOW finally some one that has the car....cool, i was asking around before to see if anyone had the car or if anyone new where i could find scans of the instructions. And someone found a site for me which had exactly what i wanted. But its good that someone has the car, that way if i get stuck on some of the modeling, i could ask you a few questions :-)
