Title: Time
Name: Remus Brăiloiu
Country: Romania
Software: 3ds max, Photo-Paint, VRay

This is a reproduction after Salvador Dali's "Persistence of memory". All the objects in the scene are 3d, modeled in 3ds max, rendered with Vray. The textures are made with ArtRage and some post render editing with PhotoPaint and ArtRage. The image isn't an exact copy there are some differences in proportions and colors but overall I think it has a good likeness to the original. I hope you like it and of course any comment would be appreciated.

As for me - I like it. Nice work overall, and nice to see someone using Photopaint besides myself.

Obviously you have no idea who Dali is, and to be completely honest I hope you get banned for the rude ass comment.

Now as for the image. I think it looks fantastic, great job

Completely awesome!!

I'm a HUGE fan of Dali
It must have taken awhile to get the right 'feel' for the composition
Great work!

Why dont you take a long look at those four rules about posting comments about other people's work.

Be courteous and polite. Show respect to the opinions and feelings of others. Use of the forums is a privilege, not a right.
Engage your brain before your mouth. You are responsible for your own words and any harm they may cause.
Don't dilute the forums with irrelevant and unnecessary fluff. CGTalk is a professional, moderated forum. It's a place to talk about all things related to computer graphics.
Critiques and responses to images are to be constructive and related to improving the quality of the artwork.
When you find out what constructive criticism means then you can talk.

Great job Tesparg. Very nice recreation. Five stars. I have to say that piece in the middle must have been difficult. It's so abstract its a little hard for me to interpret it from the original.

You don't have to say you love it if you don't, but you don't have to say it's piece of #### if you hate it either.

Opinions are important, but if you can't write anything constructive it is better not to reply at all. Rude comments doesn't serve anyone.

Well I would love to, but you see I'm home for the holidays and the PC that has the project is in a different city. So I'll post the wire after the holidays.

Great work….It's almost identical to Dali's artwork … (just need to add a couple of white small rocks in the background)...I like Dali's works. And I like this 3d version. It looks great but need some tiny brushes strokes to eliminate the clarity of the 3d.(it's just an opinion)
Good work
