i tried to recreate a water & pool tile surface shader.
i hope you find it usefull.

Visiblity is far less under water, some fog will help. Keyframing to off when leaving the water.

u r right ThePriest, i did some tests with fog, but i wasn't satisfied when leaving the water -> too much reflections & specularities.
keyframing (never thought of that) is a good solution.
i'll post a fog setup later.
