View Full Version : Move Tool
Yanlec 12-26-2006, 10:09 PM Hi all, i was wondering if there was any way(or plugs) that when moving a mesh, it doesnt deform all the shape, you know. Cuz its a real pain moving things in zbrush, ex: i want the legs of my character longer, but the foot is already modeled, if i move the foot down, the overall shape turns into a mess. thx

Change your brush size. If you have it on 1, it will only move the vertex that the brush is under.

You can mask areas that you don't want to be affected by edit actions. Just paint over them in Edit>Draw Pointer mode while pressing the Ctrl key. You may find that the Tool>Deformations>Size slider will work better for some operations than using the Move brush. You can disable/enable the appropriate axes by clicking on the little x, y or z. After you have finished clear your mask and use the smooth brush to tidy any rough edges.
