Excellent work! Great toon style, and cool character design! I like the look. That flight of stairs in the back looks like some fun.

crit: I'm not sure if the exaggeratedly bent buildings are a good contribution to the gestalt (the whole). They (the bent buildings) seem too distracting. How does the image look with the buildings straight? I'm curious.

What a wonderful present for me and Long.

Thank you very mutch to all for that big present. Is my first front page and in christmas time is the best wishes that i had ever dreamed.

That work start like a present for me and my room mate Baolong. We live together now in Uk. We both are far from our country but any place is heaven if you have dreams and happyness in heart. We imagine our childhood together playing with snow for give life and shape to our dreams and now is real!

Me and Long make the scene and the character in around 2 week of work in spare time.
Later we start working in animation with a friend in italy for make the christmas video (still w.i.p. cause other works priority).

Hope to finish the short soon so i can show some preview. Thank you again for your words.

On a critical note, the lighting is very cold and could benefit with some warmer lights/colors in the windows and/or on the main characters to make more contrast. This could bring even more intimacy to your scene. It has a great feeling as it is but don't be afraid to play around a little more with the lighting.

in fact that snow materail is very simple setting, just nosie bump and little Self-lllumination :)

Wow!! Just it? Not even a different diffuse material (which color did you use)?... :sad: And here I was messing up with falloff materials and stuff... Guess the simpler things are the ones that works best.

the diffuse colour is not white, it's grey blue,we have try other, but grey it's better, with strong lightting better:)

Hey guys! I got what I was doing "wrong" with the snow! I kept my Color Mapping in Exponential, under the VRay settings... I changed it to linear and Voilà! Not sure if you're using linear too but it worked like a charm here!! Anyway, thank you very much for the help!
