i think it's quite a milestep for me, this one..
anyway.
this piece was inspired by the weather lately actually.. started around one month ago i left it, 'cause i couldn't paint the wreath the way i wanted it to look and came back to it today while having a break from some commercial work.. i decided to leave it more rough, painterly which i'm usually too scared to do.. i think it's better this way.
it depicts the.. well, inconstant weather.. not really a winter, not an autumn anymore too. applies to my mood lately as well.
as for some tech. info: NO references used, i just checked some flower and rye photos, but nothing direct, which makes me quite happy ;)
done in painter 7 and photoshop (self made brushes for skin texture mostly). see wip shots and close-up's here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/45231445/
