Hi,

i a new comer for doing games and i confused about how u count the pieces of poly of a model in MAYA ?

anyone there expert can help me please , thanks !!

Here is my expert opinion on the subject...

Display > Heads Up Display > Poly Count

there r 3 quantity beside the faces : , which one should i refer to??

the first row displays the scene total
the second row tells you how many in the selected geometry
the third one, i don't know. i'm pretty new to maya (coming from max)

it counts quads, not tri's. triangulate your model to get the *real* poly count.

Hey guys!

Snowfly is right! The first one is the total in the scene. The second one shows the poly count of the object you have selected. And the third one show you the poly count if you have selected some of the polys within an object.
