Hi.. I have just finished my new character leg setup..

nice, very easy to spot out the workings of the rig!!

and im definitely a fan of the mixed swedish-english naming of the bones... hoft?? ;)

haha sorry about that.. I often use both when I doing things in 3D..
I call it Swenglish ;)

By the way, "Hoft" or (Hft) is the swedish word for "hip"..

svengelska could *possibly* confuse people checking out your rig ;)

anyway.. i was just thinking, why did you switch off the bank for the foot? im trying to learn character setup, so im just asking ;)
in fact, in my setup, i was sort of thinking about maybe having the foot parented & inherit rotation from the leg... and control w/ fk... is this a bad idea??

Now all Bones and Nulls have english names..
The setup is on the same address as above..


jashiin, I don't use banking on the foot that much but I often by mistake select the bankhandle.. That's why I have turned it off..
I don't know about your setup.. Try it :)

Here's an update.. Some people like to animate the knee and some want them to follow the foot.. Now you can do both in the same rigg..
I have made a slider that turn on and off an expression that makes the knee follow the rotation of the foot..

This is one of the most stable leg setups that I've tried! COOL! Are you planning on writing a tutorial? I'd love it if you would!
