hello everyone!
i'm always in a rush for this job so i was asking myself if some xpert may allow me to automate, in some way this job:

at the beginning i got hundreds of pages of stamps like this:
http://www.damstudio.com/_filarte/pag01.jpg

while i am working on it, deleting black in between one stamp to another one, every page is like this (wip):
http://www.damstudio.com/_filarte/pag01wip.jpg

at the end, all the pages, cleaned, are like this:
http://www.damstudio.com/_filarte/pag01end.jpg

i hope i xplained what i mean...
...any idea?!

tnx in advance and MERRY MERRY XMAS!! :D

This would be hard to automate, infact, probably cant. The easiest way to get rid of the back would be to use the magic wand, and toggle the tolerance. Once it is clear, i suggest you go around and make sure all the stamps have been straightened up - looks more professional. Then if you still wish to have a black border on each, create it with marque tool, and make sure its on the layer behind.

thats pretty much it, remember this, automation makes it easier, but hardwork = better results ;)

tnx a lot 4 ur suggestion Collember!
it's useful and i will try to automate the process using ur idea as a starting point..

The fact is that everytime i receive all the pages just scanned.jpg, i'm in lack of time to do all the pages.. and quality, in this case, is not as important as time, because it is a catalogue of a "stamp's auction"

the only thing as a freelance artist i will sugest is that you ask for more time or charge more
