Title: The Seven Deadly Sins: WRATH
Name: Marta Dahlig
Country: Poland
Software: Painter, Photoshop

Hi guys,

I was supposed not to but eh, decided to submit this one after all. :)

There is a bit of writing to go with it, so I will just paste some technical details from DA. If you want to read about the symbolism etc, please check this link:
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/45063193/

technical:
- I am aware that the style and the technique is much simpler than what I have displayed in my recent works, but I had to keep the style consistant throughout the series. So yes, I know I haven't painted every wrinkle or skin pore etc. It was fully conscious and thought-through.

- art nouveau stylization (A.Mucha); couple of refs used but nothing copied straight nor nothing major (whip for example)
- about 30 hours spent in Painter

That's the last one of the series, and I really hope you like it!

nice, the shading on her arm in the front looks a bit blurred or unfinished somehow, but very nice all the same

I am a huge fan of this series, and you work. I am sad that this is the last one in the series. Your brushwork and colors are fantastic here, as usual. I also enjoy your more detailed work, but this one fits the series very well and I am glad to see that you didn’t over do it. Keep up the good work.

That's funny, I stumbled upon this piece on DA just yesterday (hard not to, it was in the "top 3 highest rated" pile!) and I thought, wow, that's lovely, I must have missed when Marta posted it on CGTalk. I guess I was just early. Well, yesterday and today, I think it's absolutely lovely. The palette is so rich, and it's just a superb job on the face and the cloth!

Outstanding qualtiy, just as we've come to expect form you, Marta.
Beautifully observed fabrics, rich colours and an elegant beauty - all hallmarks of your work, such as I have seen.
Always lifts my day when you post a new one. You say simple, I say uncluttered.

Cheers,
Nick

Thanks for the comment on my christmas Marta, your artwork is as the same level of the rest of the sins series, like specially the swing on air, and the great expression on her face, maybe the source of this kind of folds in the dress is too used by you, but nice as always.

Congrats for another master piece

Hey Marta, you are beeing too critical of your own work. I'm giving you 5 stars but I wish I can give more to offset some of the idiots who vote less than 4 stars for this. I wish ratings were public so we can see who the bastids are. GRR!! I'm wrathful indeed.

Ahh the holidays sucked the last energy out of me, so let me just thank you all for taking a while to leave me some feedback! I felt rather awkward to submit this picture here, for the reasons mentioned, and so I am really happy you liked this painting. All comments are very very appreciated, thanks a bunch <3 I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas :D

Wow!
It`l a last work from your series?
I think, it`s one of the best of all your seven deadly sins! Colours are really great.

Excellent painting! The lighting/shadowing are awesome and the textures are amazing.
Keep up the good work!
