Title: Meatman
Name: Matous Jezek
Country: Czech Republic
Software: Maya, mental ray, Photoshop
I designed this character as a creature for Bestiary (book of monsters for Draci Doupe Plus - RPG published in Czech Republic) that I wrote. Conceptart was made by perzo (Michal Ivan).
The most important for me was modeling and texturing main character.
Comments about concept and design of Meatman are welcome.

Agree with above :) :) :)
I have finished playing the game Condemned: Criminal Origins yet. This work has reminded me the game :)
Very good job. Congrats.

Very "meaty" for lack of a better word.
Applause: I like it. It felt very juicy and the weight seemed believable. The character is scary and you definately achieved your goal
Critique: My number one thing is the name. Meat Man seems to be either very cartoony or a clever rendition of "pyramid head" from resident evil. Meat Man sounds like you ran out of names. Other than that the only constructive criticism I can offer it that I personally think the backside of the right hand looks odd. I am now anatomy expert and I am sure you have nearly achieved that title after creating this. But it looks like the fingers are too far apart.
other than that great job. I like it.

The development of name was quite interesting. There was only czech name "Svalovec" used for that creature in Bestiary. Svalovec means something like "muscle man" or "creature made of muscles". Perzo (Michal Ivan) made cover for my book that I used as conceptart and he posted it in CGs galery (http://perzo.cgsociety.org/gallery/374962/). He named his work: Meatman vs werebear. Thats why i used that name.
You are right the hand looks odd. Meatman has no ringfinger on his right hand. He had cut it off in a work. I tried to make it visible.
Thanks for comments.

Very impressive work. The flesh looks fantastic and the dark atmosphere is very goodhttp://features.cgsociety.org/gallerycrits/257861/257861_1166711161_medium.jpg (http://features.cgsociety.org/gallerycrits/257861/257861_1166711161_large.jpg)
