View Full Version : Modeling Question
stevester1 12-20-2006, 03:50 AM Hey guys, I have a scene where a rock falls apart, or crumbles, and inside of this rock is a logo. I was wonderring how would I approach this in terms of modeling? I mean, I created a simple meteor, pretty easy, I just used a magnet tool on a sphere, but the inside is hollow, how could I make it full, and also make these full parts only be "around" my logo's geometry? Any clues?
Thanks in advance.

You could boolean the logo out of your meteor (keeping a copy), make it editable, and then use the Explosion deformer on it.

Here's a super fast example.
Note the duplicate materials aren't actually different materials, they have vertex maps
from the individual rocks.
The original intact model goes away on frame 50, revealing 8 new models already broken apart.
