Hello c4d people! i have a question once again! I have already asked my c4d teacher about this, but he couldnt really give me a good answer, but i was wondering. I am buying myself a digital camcorder pretty soon and of course, im thinking of eventuallt putting my 3d models and animations into real life scenes. Now i know from my own (rather limited) experience that in 3d studio max there are a lot of helpfull tools included in the program to help u to start 'camera tracking' ur models.
I dont know about Maya or Lightwave but im sure they also have their own tools, but i never got this in cinema.

Are there even tools in the program that can do this? Because now im tryng to get used to 3rd party programs such as Icarus, but since it crashes a lot, it isnt very helpful to me.

Would any of u know how something like this could be done with cinema 4d? or what kind of program i should use to do it with?

tnx in advance!

I can't help you with your C4D question, but I might be able to help with the Icarus crash. If you're a Windows user using Icarus 2.09, please check out bug (4) at http://aig.cs.man.ac.uk/icarus/bugs.php for a possible fix.

I am on a mac so I am using the ICARUS thingy
(thanks again for the tip Simon W).

Anyway, I here a lot of good things about Boujou. I think there is a trial version you can download. I don't know the URL but I am sure it wouldn't be hard to find.

I have to admit I am really happy about the results I am getting from ICARUS 2.09.

Hope this helps!
