View Full Version : No UV's Max Script

Hello all,

I am looking for a script that will identify objects and quite possibly faces on objects that do not have UV mapping coordinates.

I am not looking for a script that looks for a UV modifier but is looking at a collapsed stack (editable poly) and for no uv coordinates on an object.

In theory if you use the interface of 3Dsmax, there are 2 cases :
- your object don't have coordinates of mapping and no faces have mapping coordinates
- your object have coordinates of mapping on all faces

To have some faces mapped and some faces unmapped is a rather rare case.
It is possible to create this kind of object with programmation but that seems to me pretty strange.
Normally the first step is to assign some default map faces before any operation on the UV (if the channel have no support).
