nice work. I think the second looks better. There is more contrast in it. Bit actually, I like them both. :)

is there any difference other than the lighting?

I prefer the second... but thats because the brighter one looks oddly "over exposed" for what it is and it looks a little plasticy

i think the top one looks FAR more photorealistic.

the brightness coming off the chrome chain in the second one, doesnt seem to match it's environment properly... and as we all know, chrome is simply a reflection of it's environment.

Also, it looks like the REFLECTION of the chain in the 2nd pic is brighter than the chrome itself. Another illustion that takes away from the realism IMHO.

I like the first one, the lighting is more natural.

The 2nd one is more interesting to look at, but that kind of lighting would be hard to accomplish in real life.

the bottom one is defenitely better just because it keeps the viewers attention. The top one you look at and say "oh, a key".

I like the first one, the lighting on the second one seems more cgish and less natural.

I think both of them seem cool !

this project is my first challenge on brazil beta 0.26 ,
the first is 36th render without any post process and secound is 42nd render with a bit post process in adobe photoshop !

the 1st has sky light and secound has nosky light ,
and dear " spr0g " , there is no defference between them except lighting !

thanks again about your idias in my job !

Yikes.. why not use 0.4.53 ?

I second the sentiments here..
First one's more realistic.. 2nd looks more interesting.
The lighting isn't entirely fitting for it, but the 2nd might resemble a key light.

Maybe add some scratches to the plastics ?

Best regards,
Richard Annema

The first one is definitely better, the bottom one just looks weird... the glow from the chain makes no sense.

I like that chain a lot, it actually looks entirely identical to a keychain I did a long while ago. I posted it online about 4 months ago...

Also, it's very ignorant of you to tell everyone Brazil is the best renderer for Max, when you probably have never even touched any of the other production renderers out there, such as finalRender. Either way, there is no defined "best." But thanks for your opinion, I do agree that Brazil is an awesome renderer.
