Here's an quick animation test from one of my original character, Brunhilde.
Just made a quick test on walkcycle before moving to story animation, since it is more of a free-time project the whole thing will probably take a while.

Hey Short,


Hm.. looks like a decent walkcycle to me. A bit hard (at least for me) to see all the details without a side render.

The walk looks pretty stiff, like.. like the wrists are kinda lifeless? Have you considered loosening them up a bit? And the feet moves mechanically. I believe a person sort of.. pushes off with their toes to gain momentum for their next step, and I think that could be conveyed better.

Have you tried walking around looking at your foot's angle as it moves forward? When I walk they're rotated much more than Hilde's. My eye is also drawn to her knees during the passing poses, like the supporting knee isn't bent enough somehow.


Overall the walk seems a bit slow, though I don't know what context the animation is in of course. All in all it feels a bit like you're perhaps.. idunno.. afraid of going to the extremes? Everything is kinda subdued and stiff. Some, or all, of that could be intentional for all I know *shrug*, but that's my 2 euro cents.
