Title: Republic cruiser
Name: Rado Javor
Country: United Kingdom
Software: Photoshop

My first star wars picture. One of my favourite ships from this universe. Its not very well-known, maybe because it was seen only for some seconds at the beginig of episode one. But i think the design of it is great. Corellian diplomatic cruiser, lost years ago on some dark planet. I hope I can make some story about it, maybe connected with some other SW pics in the future.
Strarted as a quick pic, but somehow i started to play with details so it was about 30+hours at the end.

Wacom intuos+photoshop as always.

perfection, if i could give you 10 stars i would, ofcourse the subject is amazing being part of the clone wars and all, but you didn't only render the ship well, but the whole environment is perfect.

Fantastic pic! I love the lighting/coloring and the textural feel of the ship. While I like the choice of adding the rainfall, it feels a bit..."hairy" (sorry!) to me. I think the issue is that you can see curvature on a lot of the rainstrokes, which detracts from their intent. Slight curvature due to wind influence is fine, but some of them arc a bit strongly, like the one just to the right of the radar dish that's propped up on the ground near the front of the ship.

Still, a top notch rendering! It's my new desktop image. :)

Thanks for the comments, all of them have a great value for me. I was out for 3 weeks and without the internet. I will make some other starwars pics for sure, but now im very busy in work. The rain on this one is a little hairy, because it was done fast and sometimes the lines are curved. Thanks all for the 5stars :)

Cant wait to see new star wars art from you. Your rendering skills are really fantastic!

I'm really wondering what technique you use in photoshop, how you work, etc...
Any chance of sharing the way you work or showing some proces pics? That be great!

I especially like the texture on the ship, the small details, scratches...
Do you use costum brushes for that?

Thx in advance en keep up the great work!
