do a search on cars and you'll find two or three threads on cars in C4D all quite in detail.

Yep, find the recent thread in which KevinA--Maxon's car modeling god--posted a mini-tutorial. I think I used every modeling tool available in building my car, including point modeling, box modeling, and various lofts, sweeps, and extrudes. I'm just now getting to the INTERIOR (http://bellsouthpwp.net/A/d/AdamTrachtenberg/Mini_dash.jpg) , btw.

hey adam, I know your not worried about textures yet but the light greywith the diffused noise looks weird. Great to see how oyur progessing so far, man will that be an awesome model when you done, the amount of detail is insane

Hey Kai,
I know the texture looks weird, but the dashboard on the Mini-S really does have an odd texture that's similar to what I've used--but shinier. Quite ugly, IMO. Too bad, because I'll end up buying one of those cuties eventually and I don't care for that look at all.

Alex,
As far as I know there's no way to for Cinema to know where you want to place points--you have to place a few and then move them into the proper position. Then, instead of using the add points tool, copy and paste the points that are in the correct plane already, or extrude edges to create new points and faces.

have you tried lopolo's new CPPP plugins, aloows copy andpaste of points in poly objects and spline objects into othe rpoly and splines objects and such
