I think I finished the plumber boots, for that I posted here.

Just for fun I add a little friend: the cockroach.

ALL textures are hand painted (including the cockroach).

wow man, i really love those textures, and the boot is really kicking some ass.

one thing though, i dont really like the cockroach, it distracts me quite a bit.....

and also, itd be nice if it was dustier if you wanted to give an older impression on it.....otherwise its great

love that rendering man, what did you use for the rendering and modelling?

Hi Son!
That's fu--ing great!, specially the modelling and evvironmantal effects. Textures look fine, but u should work more for bumps. The roaches are designed perfect and alive, even the dead one.anyways i hate roaches!!!!

Okidoki, Please tell what kinda 3D software ur workin' with.
Thanx a lot,
Love,
Reza!

two.oh and TheStyx:

Thanx A LOT guys!

Well those boots belong to the plumber, character of my short film WIP. As in the film they will always be in movement, I think the details are already enough ;)

Some specifications:

- Software: 3DSMAX 5.0
- Render: Scanline + fake GI (64 spots + 2 omnis + 1 area)
- Render time: about 4 minutes (1024x768) on my Athlon 2000+
- Estimated time for animation: 5 minutes.
- Here's the owner of the boots(still WIP):

Very nice textures, and the guy you rendered have funny face, cute.
I don't like the cockroach, maybe the boots' colour remind me an old story, but the cockroach smash the story.:)
cool job. keep up your post.

zeb, phoenix2k and stephen2002:

Many thanx friends!!!

chesky Wang:

I agree with you. In this context they didn't combine a lot. In the environment I am working on they will be fit much better. I promise!
Thank you very much

Some pics from the movie: the plumber's nightmare (old lady) and her old and "beautiful" house, hehehe
Both environment and old lady are WIP and I'll do a lot of adjustments (proportions, textures, light and new objects).

ALL textures are hand painted, of course ;)

I hope you enjoy.

hey antropus, i saw your work on 3donline forum... that old lady is pretty gorgeous cof! cof!
the texture job on all your works are incredible.....
i think the boot, is a little "thin" but that's only me beeing picky. when the plumberman put's them, it won't be noticiable at all, so don't mind.
i'm looking forward to see your animation.. keep posting those great stuff you do.

abraçao cara :p

Hey Antropus, looks like you've posted quite a hand full of your work huh?
I really like your textures, but those roaches don't quite seem to blend in with the boots...

De qualquer maneira valeu mesmo fi.

Oh, and by the way, that old lady, well, she reminds me of the old lady from the movie "Titanic" specially with that gem... heheh just kidding, what I wanna say is that, considering the level of detail of your textures, maybe her legs need some more, you know old lady legs textures, like poped veins and stuff...

Ta muito bom cara, to doido pra ver animação! :buttrock: :lightbulb :lightbulb :lightbulb

Thanx a lot man!

C.A.P.S.:
Thanx for reply. Well, this post is about the boots (and a "bit" the cockroaches). About old lady, it was already very discussed. The old lady has textures only in her face and modelling, as I said before, is work in progress. For talking about the old lady or the plumber WIP, please click on the links in the baseboard of my post.

Thank you very very much for reply!
Valeu galera.
