Rock'n! My Quadro 4 xgl 900 is drooling as it downloads.

They've fixed most bugs from the previous release.

Does anyone have problems opening sample files such as biplane, rabbit and appollo? I can open them on some machines but they crash on others.

I have a Quadro4 900 but haven't downloaded MAXtreme yet. What is the main advantage to using it? Has is saved anyone time as they set up their scenes/ animations?

It significanly increases viewport interaction speed in FPS. Without Maxtreme Quadro performance is closer to Geforce4 cards. My personal SPECapc results in max 5 for 750 XGL on a 1900+ are as follows:

Graphic mean 3.17 OGL / 6.56 with Maxtreme
CPU mean 2.53 OGL / 4.62 Mx
Overall geometric 2.93 OGL / 5.8 Mx

As you can see benchmark results almost double. Your actual performance increase may vary.

thanks Dvornik.

I downloaded Maxtreme a few months ago, but when I selected vertices in the subobject level, they weren't highlighted. So, I didn't use it.

But I think the new version corrected that error, so I will definitely download it.

That particular problem is fixed. It appears Nvidia has realised the lack of driver support for max 5 has started to hurt their reputation and are trying to fix the known bugs.
