Hello everyone, ok im an suuupeerrrr noobie with 3d max so im following a tutorial o a house,
ive downloaded some textures from this site http://textures.forrest.cz/ (http://textures.forrest.cz/)
its a brick jpeg and another one.. my problem is that my textures look very out of proportion.. the bricks on the house are huge and i added a floor texture its like leaves and dirt something like that and they look horrible.. anyone can give some tips so i can fix this?

Try tiling it.
Whatever software you're using should have a brick procedural material with it.
Which would probably be better than a random JPG.

hmmm... I'll try to help: you have applied unscaled texture. Change the size and adjust tiling. Also change the rotation. Maybe you assigned to you material editor the texture as you downloaded it without any adjustments. And that's the result.
btw. how is your model mapped?

Take the time to set up the UV maps instead. This will give you absolute control over the size of details in the texture.
