I have been testing rendering lightwaves procedurals on to a plate..and save that out to
greyscale maps 1024x1024 and using them on terrains in vue at 1024x1024 size..

Just want to share that tip..one can get pretty cool terrains this way because of all the good
procedural shaders available for lightwave...

Would be nice to be able to actually get a plugin or converter that ports many of the procedurals in to vues function editor, would be nice to se the gardner clouds, weather or even Ifw2 planet clouds to use for vues volume clouds.

its pretty fast to set up a flat plane facing the camera in lightwave..open up viper or fprime..
and change procedural layers to your liking..and lightwave has so many options to control those procedurals...so just pick your favorite ..dented,heteroterrain,crumple etc,etc..invert them increase details...til your satisfied...then just render out into your vue picture directory
and load it in your terrain.
Anyone else who have tried this out,and can share some more hints?
