I just read the review in MaximumPC, they think its alright, but still has alot of Beta class bugs in it, and ripping times/speeds very greatly depending on the movie.

From what I've heard they put an identifier on every copy that is made using DVD Xcopy. This would allow them to trace copies to the registered user that created them should the need arise.

How many users that fall into the "should the need arise" category will have registered copies. I mean the thing's guaranteed to be cracked already. There are much better solutions available for the hardcore DVD-ripper.

I wholeheartedly support software like this. People expect to be able to enjoy their legally-purchased entertainment however they like. I'm paying for the film or album, not the shiny disc it comes on.

More than this everyone has a legal right to make a backup copy of any media they buy. This is not a privilege, it's a fundamental consumer right.
