Here is a new project I have just finished. modeling in Alias10
and rendered in Maya4.5. but I don't know why if I use

Nice model. The texture is to plain, and seems lik there is dust on the car. Also, the render cuold use some global illumination or radiosity.

cool car! what are the settings of your mental ray. Maya will crash sometimes when your computer starts swapping memory during the mentalray rendering. Maybe it works if yours setting are a bit lower.

Thanks.
Aldo,I had accessed the ultimatecar's homepage, they have many cars photos. I have no blueprints.
mister conehead, The machine which I used is Dual Xeon 2.2 with 1G ram, so I think there should be have no problems with the memory, because the machine own by school, so I have to use only around 20Mb ftp space as my network space, maybe that would be the problem? I can't use IPR render because the network space not enough.:)

WOW, I guess how the hell did you modeled it in Alias..., And, of course, how the hell did you make it NURBS!!!, superb work!

Only one crit, I find something weird on the front of the car, between the surfaces..., but may be itīs correct, but for me it seems incorrect...

awsome work although

can we get a rear pic, and in the front, you have no carbon fiber, the corners are to sharp, on a REAL enzo they are rounded and not pushed out as much, a minor thing is your driver side window has no black molding around the outside of it, with that being said the ferrari logo on the nose of the car is also alittle small, and the wheels have no logo on them, and you need soem BIG ass cross drille rotors under them :D Good luck

edit: oh, can we also see a side view, and maybe an engine pic??

Thank you, guys.
After I finished the model, I noticed I got several fetal mistakes.
Rims, and as digitalp1mp said, the round edge of the air input parts. because this is a project of my modeling class, I have not enough time to modify any more, so I import to Maya and use polygons to built the engine and other small parts in cockpit.:p

Here is new update, add sky background, and the first one is a snapshot of alias workspace window. Last one is photo.

Cheers

Well im not into maya, but i suggest making a light array (Or dome) and setting the shadows to be very blurry. The array should anywhere from 10-30 lights. Thias is in case you cant get Mray working. This will make it very soft arouns places, and creates darker crevases. But nurb model? VERY NICE!

Not bad, i've been workin on an Enzo for last long while, but it still lacks interior and engine. Good work.

Really like like the last shot you posted, that really is a great angle showing off the inside, great work!

Nice renders..especially the last two. I don't see shadows tho, or am I blind?.... Some shadow will definitely ground the car.

Very nicely done, proportions of the canopy part is definitely out ,it looks like a toy car in that area .I think you need to lower it and make it sleeker. Rim around windows black.
Partly I think this developed from not having proper blueprints to keep proportions.
I think youre probably aware of this by the renders you choose that stays away from problematic angles ,do a flat side elevation and check it against the side of the Ultimatecar ferrari.
modelling is great though !!!

Thanks a lot.

LordShaitan , I had tried to used 76 direct lights array to similar the sky light, but I am not good at that, I was spent many time and result..... I will try small scene in sometimes.

Ed Lee , I had used one shadow map but the light intensity only 0.8, so the shadow is very tint. I wish to make the background more darker and the body not to flat, so I have not use many shadow. If I use raytrace shadow, the machine will crash.
:annoyed:
foxlee , I had used the photos as blueprint, (at that time I have no blueprint) I try to keep the proportion, but you know, when you work a long time at one project, maybe you will have dull sense at it. so when I compare the render image with the original photo, it is really shock to me.
:buttrock:

Soljarag, Thank your blueprint.

Great car! Only one crit...I think that the front window is a bit to straight up. It has to be a bit more streamlined (is this the good word for it?)
I could be wrong though:shrug:

Keep up the nice work!
