Unless I am drawing a tattoo for myself I don't put meaning behind it because then I get attached to it. When I draw one to sell to a tattoo shop I try to make it look like something someone I know would want. I have an indian design that I am probably going to get but that is mostly tribal.

A little Tip from a tattooist. Never set the highest point of the design the direction goes. That gives the design a wrong weighting.
Always think about the direction, the place where it should be and the anatomy of this place. Also try to use nonclosed lines to give the linework a more dynamic look. That is very important for flashdrawing.
Anyway nice flash ya got here.
