while modeling i clicked one of my vertices to move and for some reason they like move all over when i move them to a good location, they move like in short choppy motions usually off the screen. anyone here had this before? if so what do i do so that it doesn't screw up? thanks.

Sounds like you may have Snap turned on.
Or you are trying to move them at a funky angle.

just maybe your mouse is starting to get old... maybe damaged cable.

but it's probably snap turned on.

Please tell us when you solve that problem.maybe someday we can have it

Probably snap turned on.... though vertices also tend to move in weird directions if you've got the transform coordinates set to 'Local', cept they don't jump around.

Yeah, MAX likes to pull weird tricks like that all the time. Generally a reboot or even just restarting the program can make all kinds of glitches go away. Annoying, ain't it?

Usually the RAM thing is a syndrome of not using Windows NT/2k/XP Pro.

Doesn't sound like anything I've ever experienced anyway. Except when the scale is very very very small, ie. you're trying to move something down to the last 12th decimal. Then things doesn't neccessairly move all fluid :)

Ack, then you're suffering from that You Can Now Shut Down The PC thing. How I loathed that. How I loathed that so very much.

*shakes fist at NT*

My Max decides to restart tha machine itself.:)

When it can't find some map images assigned to a metarial before,
restarts the machine....That's what photoshop do when i exit the photoshop.

i think nothing in the universe works perfect.
