short spot for the Mercedes S-class, This is a preliminary release, the final spot which will be presented to Daimler Chrysler and Directed by Florent Igla will be a bit different than this one as far as I am allowed to say

the one you see now has absolutely no postwork done to it, its exactly the same as its rendered out of 3dsmax except for putting the clips together of course

all visuals are done by me using 3dsmax and vray
music used from www.freeplaymusic.com (http://www.freeplaymusic.com) and is only for the purpose of the preliminary release, the final spot will have its own music

the interior shown below will be included in the final commercial (the interior has postwork done to it)

Quicktime Sorenson3 10.7 MB http://www.aliismail.com/Animation/SClass.mov
AVI Divx6.0 4.6 MB http://www.aliismail.com/Animation/SClass.avi

That's a very pretty rendering! Did you model the car as well?
Why didnt you include the interior shots in the animation? Client didnt request those?

Hey Anton, thx for your reply
ya I modeled the car, done the materials/shaders, lighting and everything, the animation you see is a completely solo project

you can see the wireframe of the model here as well

the interior was requested by the client and I have to say he was very picky about it and it took a lot of effort to finish, I didn't include it in the current animation as it takes a lot of time to render even a few seconds but the director which will pick up the work I've done so far will render the shots he needs for the interior and exterior, but I will have to wait for a while until we have the final commercial

thanks Alom, elnady, Silverwing and destroyfred for your comments I really appreciate it all

Alom, the interior will be rendered in the final commercial but for now its still not rendered out

for the exterior animation render you see now I had to do a lot of modification to reduce the rendering time I started with for the stills from 2 hours per frame down to just 3 minutes :D , I used a saved irradiance map, baked the entire exterior lighting and reflections into an HDRI panorama and reduced all the materials settings which saved a lot of rendering time
