Title: PEUGEOT INSPIRE for the 4th competition
Name: Xiang Li
Country: China
Software: 3ds max

The name of the vehicle is INSPIRE.

My Initial inspiration was from a kind of butterfly, which had several transparent part on its wings,so you can see the side contour of this car is just like a wing.

When I was designing this vehicle,I followed some guidelines, the first one is to make the internal space and the field of view as wider as possible,I think this is quite important:if you have bigger space, you can stay in the car more comfortably, and if you have a clearer view to the outside,it dosen't mean only safer, but also great pleasure--especially when travelling.Do not worry about that you would be burned under the sunlight, the photoconductive liquidcrystal layer in the glass will make the transparency adjustable.

Now comes to the form language,I tried my best to keep the lines being simple, deleted all the needless parts. At the same time,I learn about the PEUGEOT style and make use of it in my work.I believe one will say"Oh,It's a PEUGEOT!"at the first second when he(she) see the face of the car.Of course, there is a lot of new designed elements in my work, just like the way of opening the door, the trailing wheel in the shell, the layout of the internal space, the extrusive large trunk and the whole chassis.

INSPIRE is a car for daily life,it's simple, but nice,it's cool, and also lovely.I hope it could bring smiles to all the people who see it.

Nice, 1st post :P Really like the design of the car with lots of windows and yet big space inside. Just wondering how the back weels work. seem like they are surrounded by metal/caross ?
Otherwise gr8 work and u can tell its a peugeot, espessually the back.

THANKS for your reply:)

actually, the back wheel is wrapped by the shell, and there is a gap in the bottom so the wheel could work. :bounce:

nice design, but the rear wheels shell is quite unusable: the smallest pebble would be a problem for your car, it can only be drive on marble pavements :)

I still can't work out how those back wheels work. It's not clear from those pics. Anyway, one of the best work made for Peugeot 4th competition that I've seen so far... Check www.cg-cars.com (http://www.cg-cars.com) There are another good ones.

Last few things: I do not think this concept is made in the real scale. It's a shame, becouse it would look much more real. If I compare the size of the front wheel with seats, even though there are in perspective, it looks strange.

I like the front part very much, but the back lights look like a meshsmoothing compromise.

Respect to you man, keep it up!!!

Nice work and awesome design!!!

design crit: The center of gravity looks like it'll be high (too high, for a compact...???). The rear end shape looks like it will cause drag and or lift problems. And is there a way to darken the top of the greenhouse so the occupants don’t get cooked?
