what would be the best way to achieve a convincing biped crowd in maya? I've considered sprite based particle systems & particle instancing...:shrug:

hey thats pretty awesome! no price tag though so im a little scared...i might have to look more seriously at character studio 3..
If your not going to have any interaction with the crowd, and you just want to pad out the scene, then I would definately just using particles sprites, with a few variants and offsets off the animation.
