Hi
I have a little problem with render hairs. When i try render region .... sometimes hairs are visible or sometimes not. I dont know what is reason ? I see all time my hairs in editor view.
Some special principle possibly to visible always? ( post effect is on)
thx a lot
best regards

Consider that hair's not displayed during prepass calculation since it's a postfx.

hmm its strange, in my CAM_view I can render hairs but in FRONT_projection or other - hairs are not reachable :(
I got lost :)

i've been meddling w/shave recently (since i just got it) and it seems that all the kinks aren't out...for instance, right now, some of my hairs are transparent and i can't quite figure why...and i had the previous issue w/the floating hairs that maxon has been made aware of....

maybe we can expect and update on shave soon...:D

A new engine is ready (the same as Maya S&H) and already in betatesting phase.

will it be a free update for us? gotta love maxon for the quick responses to it's customers...

I don't know if the upgrade will be free, ask Srek or Imashination for that, or do a quick search for Shave & Haircut at www.postforum.com (i'm not a Maxon guy, only a Maxon "supporter" :D )

Shave is continuing to be worked on, and there will be a new, improved version released. Time scales and specifics on how to obtain it are not yet available.

I believe Srek, or possibly Obeardy, previously stated that it will be a free upgrade for current Shave users. It certainly should be given the somewhat bumpy road we've traveled with this product.
