View Full Version : Render bitmap textures with alpha channels?

I'm making some game models that use bitmap textures. Some of the textures are TGAs with alpha channels. In the game, these models will have transparencies based on the alpha channel, but when I render it in 3D Studio MAX R3, it just shows a the original material colour where it should be transparent.

How can I get MAX to render the transparent sections properly?

i think yer need to map the bitmap to the opacity and then tell it to use the alpha in the map options...
