Title: Wrath of the dark lord
Name: Lars Martinsen
Country: Norway
Software: 3ds max, Illustrator, Photoshop, VRay

My name is Lars, and I'm a 23-year old 3D-student from norway. I just wanted to show you my latest part-time project - The dark lord that needs no introduction, but who gets one anyway , "Lord Darth Vader of the Sith"!

I've been a 3ds Max user for about 18months now, and this is the first ever humanoid characters I've ever vreated. (Until now I have spent most of my time creating robots, enviroments, veichles etc..) But now i felt the time was right to give it a shot!

Seeing as this is my first attempt, I've probably picked a bad character to test myself with. Vader is loved and hated by millions of moviefans throughout the world, and every little part of this image will probably be picked apart, and every mistake tossed back in my face!

I modelled the entire body of Darh Vader, (as seen in the attatchements) but unfortunately it doesn't show to good in the final picture, as my focus was on getting up close and personal, so you could really feel the horror in the rebels face.. I hope i suceeded in some way..

But hey, it's worth a try! The Rebel soldier was created afterwards to complete the picture. His entire body was also modelled and rigged for pose and animation.

I am extremely proud of it, seeing as it's my first attempt at this!

Hey! Well.. The reason for the blood is that I wanted a little more brutal version than seen in the movie.. The rebels have been attacked hard by an imperial force, and this soldier has gotten quite a beating before Vader decides to "caress" him.. hehe.. We see the soldiers in his final seconds in this life..

Sorry for the missing attatchements.. you'll find the image here:

"Lord Darth Vader of the Sith"

I personally think he's a bit too bloody to fit the era, but I like it overall.

Also, not to be pedantic, but the bit I've quoted above is redundant, as the title Darth is already an abbreviation of Dark Lord of the Sith. No, I'm not one of those people, just trying to point out something that they might throw a fit over. If I was one, it wouldn't have taken me several decades to figure out :)

Heh.. well, i guess you have a point about that.. but it's just a sentance in my imagedescription, so i don't think it's a big deal.. :)

Too bloody, huh? Well, yeah.. I hear you! :) I'll try to tone it down if I ever decide to change anything.. I just wanted to bring the Star Wars galaxy to a little more PG level.. :)

Hope everyone enjoys it.. Can't belive i actually got a three star rating on this, seeing that it's the first time i try something like this! Awesome, guys! Thanks!! :D

Excellent, but could you replace the soldier with Jar Jar?
