..OK I've got a problem I can't not seem to figure out here.

I have a long animation of an object flying through a bunch of cloud containers, all good in render window, but as soon as I turn on the Batch in Mental Ray , Every second frame seems to render 'strange'...almost like the fliud texture is inverted every second frame so the clouds 'invert' as well, this is strange , I know, but in the render window I have no problems. Any clue about this one ? I know Batch has some bugs, but has anyone came across this with fluids and batch render before. it's driving me nuts :banghead:

I thought this might help show what I'm talking about , frame after frame. I just can't figure this one out.....

not all fluid parameters can be linked to MR's renderer. It might be that MR doesn't know what to do? I've had this a while ago and browsing the docs I came across this nasty piece of info. (running v.6.5. here)

You might want to check out renderWindoPlus. I'm not sure if it works for mental ray though.

If the render window works ok and batch dosen't, you can render out an entire shot using the mel from the render window.

I think there's a readme:

http://www.highend3d.com/maya/downloads/mel_scripts/rendering/misc/readme.php?id=1156

Once everything is in the proper place, you basically type:

source renderWindoPlus;

Your render view will change slightly if all goes well.
