hi there, i need advice on using photometric light with mental ray in my render (3ds max7).
light setting is : 1 free point light (photometric) , raytrace shadow, isotropic distribution, color halogen, intensity 9100cd, quadtree depth 9, other values unchanged
i set my GI at 50000 Average GI photons per light with final gather sample at 50 (quite low for fast render)
i place my light above the door entrance to the room, i see that i have to increase intensity very high to get enough illumination in the room, is this correct?
and i spot a over-expose glass reflection (that spoil my render) at cabinet facing the door entrance!
can someone help this out, many thanks.
