I'm sure this has been posted many times before, but I couldn't find any when searching through the archived threads.

What I'm looking for are some really good outdoor lighting tutorials for 3ds max 9. I'm also interested in good books on the same subject.

Any links or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Jeremy Birns digital Lighting and Rendering is a must have.

also he has his website here http://3drender.com/ it has all sorts on it. including scenes for download that you can work on.

I bought Essential lighting techniques for 3ds max by Darren Brooker, which is also very good, you will however find alot of it covered in Jeremy's book, but if you are looking for just 3ds max stuff its got some decent tutorials for you.

3dtotal.com has posted a few tuts lately aswell lately. heres one > http://67.15.36.49/team/Tutorials_2/illumination/illumination_01.asp

i hope this helps
